Grants, Gifts and Compliance Manager

Job Presentation

Responsible for identifying and securing grants and gifts to support the operational and institutional priorities of the Organization. This role involves managing the cultivation and solicitation of funding opportunities from foundations, state and federal government, corporations, and individuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with institution departments to coordinate deadlines, project requirements, appropriate acknowledgment of funding, and compliance reports.
  • Research, profile, establish and maintain contact with appropriate grants and gifts opportunities.
  • Prepare, write submit and track proposals and grant applications in coordination with the staff.
  • Maintain history and update data on each funding prospect or organization.
  • Prepare reports tracking progress of proposals for both public and private sources.
  • Coordinate, prepare and oversee compliance reports on grants and gifts.
  • Attend in- person meetings and in-site visits with funding prospects, including the preparation of fundraising materials, and overall logistics and coordination.
  • Work with Finance and other stakeholders to submit timely and accurate grant financial reports (interim and final reports).
  • Ensure compliance with grant and gift requirements, including proper documentation and reporting.
  • Maintain relationships with current and potential donors, foundations, and grant-making organizations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, communications, humanities, art or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in fundraising, membership program, client relationship management or related fields.
  • Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, and donor relations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in coordinating with various departments and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and compliance.
