Job offer: Contract Senior Legal Associate

Our client, a prestigious consulting firm is hiring a Contract Legal Sr. Associate who will be responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of the procurement process, from RFP design to evaluating proposals, monitoring procurement, and ensuring transparency in award terms. Must be able to interact with senior stakeholders on complex, high-value contracts and procurement activities.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with officials regarding proposed contracts, amendments, and procurement processes.
• Develop and prepare legal opinions and memoranda for Senior Officials as requested.
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive legal advice.
• Review contracts and amendments to ensure they promote market competition and align with the applicable plan.
• Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate budget compliance of proposed contracts and amendments.
• Maintain strong organizational skills in managing large volumes of documentation.
• Stay current on changes in laws and regulations related to procurement and contracting.
• Conduct legal research on procurement and contracting issues.
• Monitor and identify areas for improvement in the procurement process.
• Communicate with team members to identify operational efficiencies during the contract review process.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations on contracts under review.

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with up-to-date and current license to practice law
• Experienced in contracting and procurement best practices.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required in English and Spanish
