Job vacancy Operations Manager

Our client, is a top local distribution company that has achieved an outstanding growth on our island throughout the years. They are looking for a Director of Operations that would ensure efficiency and supervision in Operations and Logistics within the distribution center, storage (Warehouses) and transportation.

Main functions:

• Supports in the strategic planning of the company.
• Supervises and directs of the areas of: Warehouses, Logistics.
• Coordinates, supervises, manages, and evaluates the activities of its direct collaborators, verifying that the activities and functions of the personnel in the area are being carried out in accordance with established procedures and policies.
• Creates, manages, and supervises the processes of: storage, transportation, distribution and dispatch.
• Guarantees that the stocks that are in the system are physically present, as well as ensure the level of service for internal and external clients.
• Responsible for the administration, review and analysis of weekly cyclical inventories, special physical intakes and the annual physical inventory for each branch.
• Ensures the optimization of the physical space of the Warehouses.
• Completes the performance evaluation of your staff every six months, as well as have a training and development plan for each member of the team.
• Oversees the maintenance of Branches (physical plant and equipment) and inventories.
• Supervises the preventive and corrective maintenance of the fleet of vehicles, as well as fuel control.
• Supervises and guarantees the good condition of the company's vehicle fleet, also having the required documentation.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement in operating processes and implement them.
• Maintains direct communication with the General Management, the functional departments or heads, and with the operational positions that report to them.

• Bachelor's degree; and/or three years of related experience and/or industry training in electrical goods or equivalent to a combination of experience and education.
• Demonstrated ability to cost performance, supply/ask, forecasting & distribution execution across a variety of product lines from multiple sources.
